Damn when I choose my vacation I took the one with monsoons and lots of vegetation. Much of the facilities were the same however. Chow looked the same. Night life always had the sounds of choppers and an occasional fireworks display. Thanks for serving guys (and gals) Great video too!

Forget it. Some group called "Code Pink" has got the place booked up till June. Apparently the Marines have a new Aroma Therapy tent there fashioned after one in Arizona that they cannot wait to share with the Hippies of Code Pink.

I just got my travel brochure!Here's a portion of it:
Camp Leatherneck encompasses over 226,000 acres between BFE and and "Boy you got a pretty mouth (in Arabic)". A mosaic of low small boulder ridges separated by large boulders and wind driven sand and dust characterizes this majestic and scenic camp. This Rock forest and retention/sewage pond was named in honor of the famous Afghan Warlord Achmed binLostmypants. Who,coincidentally was blown to smithereens by Attack Choppers flown from this very Camp! His remains can be seen still to this day, (depending on available sunlight and weather permitting)on the panoramic vista of the the "Red Rock" forest. The red laced boulders of this forest are laced red with the remains of Chief Bin Pantsied and his band of wiley Weirdbeards.
