Pam told me it was a migration of soldier crabs also called hermit crabs and there were millions and millions of them she likened it to the migrations of Serengeti. I didn't need to hear anymore, I loaded my car with cameras and was out the door. Pam told me that this began this morning at sunrise at Nanny point near Concordia. I have heard about this migration for years and knew that it occurred in August, I can't tell you how happy I am that Pam called. Pam you're my hero. — at Nanny Point, St. John, USVI.

Love the credits lol. Love hermit crabs too and found this vid wondrous. I used to own 18 of these critters, all saved from abusive pet shops. Kept them in a big reptile cage on my covered front porch. Fed them little tossed salads, fresh coconut and other fruits, Fritos, bacon, and hermit crab food. I made them little huts with halved coconut shells. They had a Ritz of a habitat and little submerged ponds using terra cotta plant dishes. They lived a very long time in captivity and to this More..
