I have never really been in a flood situation like this one. The weather and the water levels are spectacular. I rode out a hurricane in Florida a few years ago and the aftermath is more isolated but not all that different. Suspension of services, no water, no transportation, no where to go. Locally, we had close to 14 inches of rain in less than two days.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with you" - LOL, why bother actually doing something, whilst you know how effective prayer is?

Hard to loot in four feet of water. That and most of us around here are pretty well armed. Not to say we don't have our idiots. Three guys thought it would be fun to tie some inner tubes together and go rafting down a raging, flood stage river. They still haven't found two of them.
