@fido321 Oh Man. When I was a kid we used to go to those old A&W stands. You could take your own gallon jug and have it filled. We kids would get "nickle" sized glasses and 3 "Spanish hot dogs". They were no bigger than your little finger, bun and all.
Then we would leave there and go to an original Dairy Queen. These were "walk up" only back then.
These were and still good memories. Dad was a career soldier, as I am. These rare evenings when he was home, with More..

@tat2d Yeah, our A&W went out of business years ago. I was up by the old place and even the McD's across the street that was older than I am is closed down.

@fido321 Oh man, Black Cows and Brown Cows. Let alone a Peanut Parfait! I remember when I was about 16 we could get a dozen of those Spanish Hot dogs in a basket for under a dollar! We would live on those for like 24 hours while drinking beer, wine and smoking some of the best weed in the world at the time.
Then Doritos and Hostess Ho Ho's came into the scene. ha ha
There was nothing like 12 Spanish Hot Dogs, a bag of Doritos, a quart of chocolate milk and a package of Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's.

@Rasengan If you have a burger king... dunno if they sell them everywhere but here they sell frozen cokes. Pretty much like a coke slushie. Very tasty, definitely not healthy but then I prefer diet coke anyway(not so syrupy).

I looked it up.
The vending machine keeps the coke a few degrees below freezing, however, ice expands and the coke is under pressure so no ice can form. The chug and the shake release the pressure and since the coke is still below freezing temperatures it freezes
