Nice 360 degree viewer from Mars
http://goo.gl/3UCcw
Well it’s been three days, and we are now passing a MILLION views of the Mars Panorama! We can’t wait for Curiosity to send more photos back to Earth so that we can share more views of the red planet with you guys.
A big thanks to Boing Boing for writing us up first. We are ecstatic that so many people have found us from so many places. These include Engadget, El Comercio, Gizmodo, Hacker News, CNet, The Atlantic, LA Times, habrahabr.ru, Gizmodo Japan, Iphone Ticker, Blic.rs, io9, Toms Guide, Huffington Post, Der Standard, and many, many more. Thanks everybody!

I'm finding it hard to comprehend from what aspect the pic was taken as the camera seems to be hovering..

@DJCool - i think the "tower" on the rover stands at about 6 feet tall. i read an article said there are 4 cameras on board - another article said 3 cameras and yet another said only one.
so take it as you may....

So after months of travel, millions of miles, billions of dollars and an insane entry program.....
Already covered in shit.
Like, years spent preparing in a cleanroom, and now the guys and gals at JPL jump around and hug each other to see their baby covered in shit.
I guess that's the way parenthood goes.
Great to see NASA and JPL kicking some ass again.
I wish you all many Sols on Mars - every one of you who contributed to this mission.
Any one of you could have fucked it up.
You didn't.
More..
