Women and children shot and stabbed to death in their homes in Syria (Karm Al-Zaitoon, Homs). The culprits have not been found, and the Syrian government is reporting that this was conducted by terrorists/mercenaries eager to get an another shocking propaganda video onto the internet to use in radicalising the despaired and call for a military solution instead of dialogue. Recent history in the Arab world is littered with attacks like these, including similar horror stories from after the US invasion of Iraq. Al-Qaeda has very little sympathy for civilians and will readily use them and abuse them.
