A suicide bomber fails to kill himself outside the Sanaa Police Academy. He is filmed disabled on the ground. However, the Yemeni state media reported that 9 police trainees were killed, but video evidence has not shown these dead people. Video evidence shows one small pool of blood only and no dead bodies or human limbs! However, 9 dead is the figure being picked up by several western media outlets. Some are going for 10. Others are trying their chances with 20, and still others with 25! Yet the man himself survived it all?!

The facts of another suicide bombing in Sanaa were also fabricated recently, with the blame looking most likely to fall on the Yemeni authorities who are in control of the media. In that bombing, the media reported close to 100 deaths from a lone foot suicide bomber, however the video evidence shows only about 40 dead. The initial reports in the media were of about 40 dead in that incident, and were quickly inflated to 96, and at one point even to 120, then back down to 100.

On the whole, apart from these rare events, Yemen is often hyped in the news but has been spared the almost daily suicide bombings of the terrorists in Syria. There, by contrast, the acts of terror are applauded by the same international players.
