Not that I wanna rain on their parade, but did they really capture any bases, or did they move in on a deserted one?
At any rate, I wonder where the Taliban's financing really comes from. Has this ever been figured out properly, and what's being done about it? Waging war, even a "cheap" guerilla war, requires some serious cash.

I do not agree with sending out troops to afghan and so do most of my countrymen, the reasons to send them in the first place is beyond me...to be fair, netherlands did not invade them, that were other members of NATO.
And note: i said religion, that includes every organized form of beliefs

You and most of the netherland population are against the involvement of your soldiers in afghanistan, yet still you are there?
What is wrong with your so-called democracy? Is it really a democracy or a parties-dictatorship?
All I know about the afghan people is that many of them are proud tribal people, and they simply want nato out of their country.
If Holland really would like to help the afghan people, then they should do that through investment and p More..
