DC Flag tattoos shown off at DC Flag Day

On the evening of June 14, regarded as "flag day" by the US government,
DC statehood activists occupied Dupont Circle without a permit under the
DC flag. Many of the speakers-and many in the audience-showed off DC
flag tattoos.

Even Eleanor Holmes Norton showed off a temporary tattoo of the DC flag
while speaking about suceesses in getting the DC budget through one
house of Congress without oppressive social riders.



There was also an Iwo Jima style flag raising of a US flag with 51 stars with the DC flag underneath it on the same pole.
