I remember this video from a number of years back.
One of the guys received that exhaust pipe in the mail that day and forgot to remove the bubblewrap wadding from inside the pipe. It was on the guy's website.

Funny - this happened recently. The exhaust pipe was FINE. The failure here was in the test engine - the block (that's the red bit) developed a crack due to the extreme working pressure the engine was under. The crack broke a big-end bearing on 5 and 6 cylinder. The pistons broke through the engine and ripped the head (silver bit) off. And exhaust failure would cause the engine to fail by exploding it off the compression fitting on the side of the engine.
