We were promised the same level of bus service in 2012. Yet just a few months in, Veolia has announced changes to our bus service that will hurt MANY bus riders, while a FEW bus riders in politically connected areas retain most of their bus service. Just like with the bus contract, sources have told me Veolia has already made up their mind on the changes in bus service, which will disrupt the lives of many of the 100,000 daily bus riders who use the system, particularly in Glen Cove, where buses serve a vital link to the rest of the county. Let the following officials know we DO NOT tolerate broken promises!!!
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano 516-571-6000
Presiding officer Peter Schmitt 516-571-6212

UK: Labour's bones and flesh are here, their minds elsewhere

Deal with it. Nassau is well over a $150 million in debt even though it has some of the highest tax rates in the country. Liberals have spent the county deep into the red and now it's time to face reality. Next up, some much needed cuts to the NCPD's whopping $700 million annual budget. You'd think that with all that money it wouldn't take them 8 fucking months to process a pistol license application.
