@Gallipoli01 nobody said that lokma is Greek origin! 90% of our foods are Turkish and Arabic origins.
We just have different versions. For example baclava we make it with walnuts and not pistachious.
Nobody say that the one is better than the others!
Its because we lived so many years and some people want's to debate for the old good tradition of Turkey Vs Greece. :p
Even the names of all those desserts are Turkish. So its obvious.
Oh my eyes.. I did not mention any kind of sophisticated or nationalist subject in my last comment to you. I just got nervous How god damn lokma can be belong to Greece as a traditional dessert?
Putting honey on it does not make of it yours, or Byzantine kitchen's. And more of this, some Greek people claims 'Baklava' is a Greek dessert.. I appreciate your commercial success but fact is different.
I glad to meet you my friend, be safe and eat up those desserts as much as you can ! they are really good..
this generation still remembers..how wonderful!
and yes, British just watched while Irish people were in the suffering... They did their best..Blocked Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid's aid into the Dublin port, Ottoman sailors then secretly unloaded the ships full off foods, materials in the port of Drogheda...In the present day, the People of that city, use our crescent moon and star in their Football Club's flag as known Drogheda United..
nice to meet you Kelly, be safe !
