Fucking Iran is one of the worst offenders of human rights violations for it's citizens, and anyone else they manage to kidnap, you string people (children included), up to die slow and painful deaths in the town square for all to watch with some bell end screaming religious porky pies through a microphone, most of these people have NOT had due process and many, many are probably innocent or at least guilty of lesser crimes.

Iran military service in a mandatory, if you are homosexual you are exempted from this duty. A form needs to be filled and after an interviews it is possible to not do the 2 year long military service.
The exemption is on case-by-case basis and the reason is that many Iranian men use earring and "eyebrows waxing" to pretend being gay and not do military service.
Iran also provide sex change surgery for free for its citizens, no other US "friendly" Arab state provide this service for their citizens
