Syrian army retake control of strategic village near Hasaka city

The Syrian army has made major advances in its battle against the foreign-backed insurgents in the country’s north-east. The troops gained control of Sabah el-Khair strategic village near Hasaka city following a series of mop-up operations against the insurgents. They also seized large amounts of explosive devices from the Takfiri insurgents. The army is now in control of farms and granaries in the area. Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since 20-11. Over 120-thousand people have been killed and millions of others displaced in the violence.
