7 Russian engineers produce advanced MIG-35 fighter jets
Footage on Thursday showed the pre-series production of an advanced MiG-35 aircraft in Lukhovitsy, Moscow Region. The multi-purpose MiG-35 fighter is classified as a 4++ generation jet fighter by the Russian Aircraft Corporation "MiG." The new combat aircraft’s airborne radar equipment includes an integrated information-sighting system of the fifth generation. Carbon fiber makes the plane lighter and therefore faster and more maneuverable and allows it to be armed with more sophisticated weaponry. The MiG-35 is able to hit six targets simultaneously, while holding up to 10 targets at gunpoint. Footage also shows modernised production sites, including the final assembly area. Moreover, engineers showed test flights of one of the MiG-29K/KUB being prepared for delivery to the Indian Navy later this year.
