Mobile barricades useless against HGV

Mobile barricades used against terror attacks are mostly useless, as the German vehicle and technical inspection company DEKRA has found out in a test.
A lorry similar to the one used in the terror attack of Nice last year was crashed into concrete barricades with a velocity of 50 kph. The result was quite unsettling: although the front axle of the lorry tore off, it went on virtually unstopped until it was stopped at the end of the test track by a wall. Even more, the barricades were pushed aside quite easily which can pose an additional risk for bystanders.
