  • Thanks. Very nice video.

This would be even better with small bomb animations on major battle locations and bodycount.

  • The Golden Horde, Russia and Germany must have scared the living pants off of people with their quick conquests.

  • Well the video is great but full of errors on the Iberian Peninsula part (Portugal and Spain).

    Some things are wrong:

    - There wasn't only Leon, Galiza is missing, which comes from the Roman Gallaecia, which became Suede Kingdom later (before the video), with Galicia, Northern Portugal, Leon, Asturias, etc), and at the time of the video, Portugal got already separated from Galicia, and you should have there Portugal + Galicia + Leon, and not only Leon!

    - For example, in 1128 Portugal alr More..

  • Its inaccurate.. make sure for yourself by looking at Encyclopedia Britannica's old maps; or any credible historic source for that sake.. Number of mediterranean countries are completely out of the historical context.. Some of the post-soviet countries are there on the map since 1000s ? who made this ?

    • @Hist_Studies Hey, which countries do you speak of? Post-soviet i mean?

    • @David Timm Hey; for example Azrbaijan; it appeared as a country only the last 20 years of smth.. There are many inaccuracies also in the area where the Modern day Turkey is. There wasn't such a thing as sultanate of rum? fabricated pseudo-histories that no credible academia agrees with. This kinds of mistakes makes one to question the whole thing. But the idea is a great one - the visualization of the histories of socio-cultural evolution..
Truth cannot be selective; its either true or its fa More..

  • This map is incorrect. Kievan Rus was never a territory of Golden Horde. Rus was a vassal of the Horde, but with her own government and rules and territory.

  • The good news is that the world is a better place every day for more and more people.  The sad news is that the German Republic was declared in 1871.   What a sad history for such young country.
