More than $40,000 in jewelry was stolen early this morning after a group of men broke into a jewelry store on Stemmons Freeway.
About 5 a.m., an officer responding to an alarm at Modes Jewelry Inc. found the rear door of the store pried open and a screwdriver lying next to it.
Security monitors show four to five masked men wearing gloves and their shirts inside out entered the business, near Children's Medical Center.
The burglars carried out multiple trays of jewelry from the display cases, including sterling hoop earrings and men's and women's rings, before fleeing.
The store manager who provided officers with this surveillance video. Based on the video, it is believed at least four black male suspects entered the business and stole a large amount of jewelry. They were all wearing gloves and had their faces concealed. The burglary is documented on incident number 278257X. A
