A little Tribute to Mike Smith on an Awesome Season!

After Bryz Left the yotes, us Coyotes fans had no idea who Mike Smith was or what we had gotten our selves into. On July 1, 2011, Smith signed a two-year contract worth $2 million with the Yotes. Since then, many miracles have come to pass. This has by far been our best season ever (Coyotes/Jets) and no doubt, Smith had a lot to do with that. Smith set the NHL record for the most saves in a regulation shutout
victory, as he stopped all 54 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the
Columbus Blue Jackets on April 3, 2012.

It has been difficult being a Coyotes fan here in the Desert. Growing up a Devils fan I was used to having a winning team to cheer for. Though the Yotes have not been entirely terrible, 3rd season in a row going to the playoffs, our seasons have always ended in disappointment.
