"The Middle-East is the crossroad of relations in the world and whoever has the last word in the Middle-East will have the final say in the world as well," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said during a conference in Tehran on Saturday.

According to the semi-official Fars News Agency, Ahmadinejad called the region the "center of energy and global wealth," and added, "Now, there are a number of developed countries which even own anti-satellite missiles, yet they are not effective and influential in the world because they do not have a role in the Middle-East."
