Cutting edge tech helps firm deliver ahead of China Singles' Day

Video from China of a so-called intelligent sorting system operated by an express delivery company that processes 72,000 packages an hour.

The footage, shot in Wuxi City in eastern-central Jiangsu Province on November 2, shows packages at ZTO Express on a 300-metre-long conveyor belt being sorted without a human in sight.

The efficiency of the system is three times higher than sorting by human hand, according to reports.

The video emerged in the days ahead of China's Singles' Day, which started out as a day to celebrate singletons but has now become more of an online retail event.

      Uhmmm, that's Indians.

Chinese are fairly well mannered in that respect, as most Asians.

    • @MrMarshmellow having lived with overseas Chinese for many years in Southeast Asia, your constant spitting, hacking, screeching, and inconsiderate mannerisms have caused me several times to slap you around. it seems that the indians and Malays and Pinoys are too afraid. Not me.
Not us Westerners. Rude people get smacked here. Be polite OR ELSE

      I'm not Chinese, dimwit.

You're a typical American, thinking you can come into others' country and tell them how to behave in their own place.

    • @MrMarshmellow  Not at all. I was merely a guest in Malaysia and Indonesia. But when Chinese were inconsiderate and intruded on my space they got slapped. Then they got outraged and looked for someone else for help. The Indians just laughed at them, and encouraged me on. At least the Chinese weren't as filthy.
Lots of malaysians and Indons don't agree that the Chinese belong there. it's THEIR place. Chinese can go to Taiwan or china and do what they want. And they do. i forgot Singapore More..

    • @MrMarshmellow typical Americans don't come into others' countries. They stay at home. In their own place. France is getting ready to build their own Gaza for their fuzzies and muzzies. Just made a law for "security zones" LOLOL

  • How incredibly fucking boring to be a binary driven machine snapping pics of EVERY SINGLE SPOT in the conveyor belt whether it's occupied or not. What a complete waste of time, effort, & energy. Poor computer...
