Azerbaijan destroys 10,000 Armenian headstones in ancient cemetery in Nakhichevan

Azerbaijani military destroying 10,000 ancient headstones in an Armenian cemetary grounds, some of these headstones were 1,500 years old. Azerbaijan is doing this to erase any history of Armenians who have lived there for thousands of years, same as they have done in turkey and azerbaijan. Video evidence and photographs of military systematically destroying/removing all the headstones and dumping them into the Araxes river.

by 1998 there were only 2,000 "khatchkars" (headstones) at the cemetary, from the original 10,000. but the worst was yet to come, reports emerged that Azeri authorities were purposefully destroying the Armenian khatchkars (cross-stones)

the International Armenian community tried to raise the alarm, in 1998 thanks to their please, UNESCO ordered the destruction to stop, but the demolition began again in 2002, in december of 2005 eyewitnesses across the Araxes river saw Azeri soldiers destroy the cross-stones with sledgehammrs and drop the broken stones into the river.

Since the fall of the soviet union, tensions had flared over Armenia and Azerbaijan over claims of the territory, now one last bold attempt was being made to erase the Armenian presence in Nakhichevan.

THE AZERI GOVERNMENT DENIED ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THE DEVASTATION..... NAKHICHEVANS REPRESENTATIVE TO THE AZERI GOVERNMENT DECLARED.... THAT THE AZERIS HAS NOT DESTROYED THE ARMENIAN CEMETERY, BECAUSE """" THERE NEVER WERE ANY ARMENIANS IN NAKHICHEVAN, AT ALL """"" BLATANT DENIAL REGARDLESS OF PROOF ... THIS IS THE TURKISH / AZERBAIJANI WAY

muslims turks/azeri's living on stolen lands tryint to erase any Christian Armenian presence from the area so that there is no proof and no argument can be made as to who's lands they were and who lived there originally... same strategy used by turkey when destroying thousands of years old churches in turkey and in azerbaijan.

on February 19th, 2006 the European Parliament adopted a resolution condemning the final destruction of the Djulfa cemetery by the Azerbaijani government. The Azeri government then Banned the European Parliament members from visiting the site in March of 2006.

also watch this video to see the worlds oldest temple 12,000 years old discovered in eastern turkey(western Armenia) and how the turks are destroying it ( in a more low key way, using nature with tree's roots to slowly destroy the dig site) they dont want the world to know the truth of WHO built the 12,000 year old temple.
