Bush sees urgent need for missile shield

Oct 23 - President Bush said there was an "urgent" need for a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe.

In a speech at the National Defense University in Washington, Bush said the missile system was intended as protection against attacks from Iran and other "rogue states."
