Raw footage of black bear being rescued by fire department and interview with little girl who witnessed the event.

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 200 pound black bear had to be tranquilized and removed from a two-story tree in a Colorado Springs neighborhood Sunday evening.

The entire event was caught on video.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Chelton and Airport.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department, with the help of the Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife, removed the bear.

It had to be lowered to the ground with ropes and the fire department's ladders.

Residents in the area were shocked a bear wandered so far into the city.
