Rasta claims that because a reverse search of an image gives a specific date in it's findings it also means that the picture was uploaded that day.

Even if it was uploaded on July the 16th it would show that the rebels indeed had at least 1 buk launcher, and that it was in the area of the MH17 attack. Unfortunately for rasta's theory the initial date shown in google image search does not mean that the picture was uploaded that day.

The image search he did:

Simply going to the link which is in that result holywars.ru/comments/16178 will show you that the same picture was posted on 18-07-2014 17:02.

I was unable to recreate this particular result (i need to know which specific picture he used to get the same results).

However, on page 4 of my results a finding showed "15 jul. 2014", 2 days before the attack.

The picture i did image search with:
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/BPWzyWf9v-0ug23hm2abL-cIag

Result on page 4:

Link to particular article:
odnako.su/news/ukraine/-137465-ochevidcy-rasskazali-kak-neiz

The article has no mention of MH17, it describes an attack on the town of Snizhne. (I would theorize this is one of the reasons the buk missile was brought to the region).

Now why would image search still give this result if the article does not contain the picture?
Because on the same page there is a reference to article which do contain that picture.

Below the "See also" there are 2 links:

One of 22:48 17 july 2014:

And one of 00:06 18 july 2014

odnako.su/news/politics/-138849-terroristy-spryatali--buk--v

(You can probably also see the date in the source code of the picture that was "found", but i have no clue how to do that).
