Touching Video of Black Lab Braving Traffic to Sit Beside Pal Fatally Struck by Car

Los Angeles animal control officials are praising the loyalty of a
black Labrador retriever after heart-wrenching footage emerged Saturday
showing it refusing to leave the side of another dog killed by a car.
According to KABC-TV,
a driver in La Puente, Calif. saw the two dogs in the street and put
down traffic cones to alert other motorists. Video the driver shot shows
a yellow dog lying motionless on the ground with the black lab sitting
close by as cars whiz past.

  • A new puppy may be a blank canvas for its owner to influence a desired behavior,but..somethings are engrained in a dogs DNA like, loyalty ability to forgive and not hold grudges, they look at you as there hero they want to please you...Humans can learn a thing or two, from a dog...RIP buddy

  • That absolutely sucks. I had to witness two Collies one afternoon, one of which was struck and killed instantly. The other stood closely by so I stopped and put him in my car, took him home and by use of his tag info I had the displeasure of calling and telling the owners that the other was gone, but I had one of them. They came and picked him up ,but it was a bitter sweet reunion.

    • @gonehuntin
The same happen to me mate! With 2 beagles, the cunt that hit them, didn't stop! (3 kiddos saw how that happen) I found them on my way home, one was already dead, the other, was crying the whole time on my way to the vet! I didn't have the nerve to call the owner, the vet did, half an hour later, the owner (an old gentleman) show up, and found me with tears.... fuck! (pardon my french I'm getting really emotional right now!)
Long story, short one. I told the Vet to take really good More..

  • And this is a country that prides itself for being a christian bastion, dare say baby jesus dropped a tear when he saw his so called followers pretending to not notice as they drove past. I would have stopped and moved the body to the kerb at least then called animal control but then again I'm not from the USA nor a christian but a a heartless atheist.
