Police allege Hipolito Junior Vasquez used pudding, chocolate sauce and silver spray paint to scrawl lewd images and phrases such as, "LHU Suckes" onto the walls of off-campus apartments occupied by Lehigh University students.

Vasquez, 24, of the 600 block of Atlantic Street, entered three apartments Friday morning, stole a backpack, frozen chicken breasts, bottles of liquor and a case of beer, police said. He also allegedly used chocolate syrup, pudding and spray paint to vandalize Lehigh student apartments.

Police said they collared Vasquez about a block away from his last burglary, in the 200 block of East Fifth Street. He matched a description given by a woman that spied Vasquez as he fled her apartment, and he was covered in silver spray paint and chocolate syrup.

Located near where police found him was a backpack containing the items that were reported stolen.

Police allege Vasquez entered the apartments with the assistance of another man, who remains at large. The burglaries match a series of almost identical incidents that occurred in March, police said, where a number of Lehigh student apartments were entered and vandalized with food, chocolate syrup and toilet paper.

In the prior set of burglaries, during the school's spring break, a car was stolen. Police said Vasquez denied involvement in the March incidents.

He was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief, trespassing and conspiracy. He also allegedly was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to domestic violence charges, police said.
