India supports Russia’s policy in Ukraine

Russia says it will NOT capitulate to the European Union's
language of threats and sanctions over the crisis in Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign ministry in a statement has slammed the
EU, saying that the bloc has taken an extremely unconstructive position. The
statement came after an EU emergency summit in Brussels decided to freeze talks
on visa-free agreements with Moscow. The Russian Foreign Ministry has
threatened to respond in kind to the EU if it imposes sanctions on Moscow.
Meanwhile, China has announced its opposition to sanctions or threats of
sanctions against Russia. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has called for a political
settlement to the current crisis. And India has backed Russia's policy in
Ukraine, saying that Moscow has legitimate interests which should be taken into
account.
