Pesticide protesters dressed as honeybees visit Home Depot

On the 12th of February, honeybee protection advocates dresses as bees showed up in front of the Home Depot on Rhode Island Ave.

The activists tried to get Home Depot to accept their "Show Bees some Love" Valentine and a shipment of cupcakes, but both were refused.

They were demanding that Home Depot stop selling plants pretreated with neo-nocotinoid insecticides and a supposedly "bee-friendly" rose treatment called "Bayer 2 in 1" that contains bee-destroying neo-nicotinoid pesticides.

This whole thing with neo-nicotinoids gives me the creepy image of honeybees being forced to smoke cigarettes by Home Depot!
