In a phone call with CNN, deputy BDP ( the main Kurdish nationalist party) chair Meral Danis Bestas claimed her party was the true target of the Turkish arrests - "Almost 90% of the people detained are from the BDP, members of the party administration or executive council or mayors," Bestas said.
She also criticized the parliamentary vote on cross-border raids, calling it a "big mistake."
"It would have been so much better if the first task of the parliament was one that contributed to peace and elimination of obstacles in the way of democracy, rights and freedoms," Bestas said.
