Bodycam Footage Of Dillan Tabares Shooting - Ruled Justified

Investigators have determined the fatal police shooting of a homeless Navy veteran outside a Southern California convenience store was justified. The Orange County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday said video footage shows the man reaching for the officer's duty belt as the two struggled before seven shots were fired. Twenty-seven year-old Dillan Tabares was shot outside a Huntington Beach 7-Eleven store in September after confronting the officer, punching him and grabbing his belt.

  • The full video shows after the scuffle, the officer wasn't in imminent danger and the advances had stopped. Just another coward cop.

But still a kid and like all kids , they are going to make stupid mistakes but should not die for it.
The cop pulled away from him and out of danger.

He was a teenager or kid with only a small amount of brains and experience of the world , you even referred to him as a kid in your first post but now want to change that to meet your own agenda?
Kids are going to make mistakes , i don't know how else to explain that? seems simple enough.
The cops pulled far enough away once he thought his gun was being grabbed and then was no longer in any real danger once he got the distance between each other .

  • Well, we thank him for his service to the country but obviously, military service didn't teach him enough to know not to do what he did and so Darwin took him and the world is better for it.

  • The video did not show him reaching for the officer's utility belt. All they have to say is, I was in fear for my life which is bullshit. Not to go off topic, but was the sniper in fear for his life when he murdered the guy who was swatted?

    • @xerodfx in fear for the life of yourself or others.

Not defending the swatting cop but they can also use deadly force if in fear for the safety of others.

If the DA rules the shooting justified that will be why.

    • @ImJustBored44 They murdered buddy who had his hands up like they asked. This whole, 'in fear for my life' shit is getting out of control. It's their word against the dead person. The DA shouldn't be making the decision since he/she works for the state. It should be a jury who decides.

On a scale from 1-10 with 1 being the most bored and 10 being the least bored, how bored are you?

I guess he was a real threat to the cop???

    • @lostlad These murders or any shooting by a cop should be treated like a court case and there should be a jury to decide, not the state. The state is 99% of the time going to side with the cop.

Yep, in the old Texas system they have "professional" juries with retired police in them. Guess why cops never get convicted there???

Texas is on the verge of overhauling the way it selects grand jurors, shifting away from an antiquated process that has only drawn more attention with national turmoil over policing and race.

House Bill 2150, which goes into effect Sept. 1, ends the state's controversial "pick-a-pal" system in which judges appoint commissio More..
