6 man shoots ex wife in cemetery
.
Emilio Nunez is an American man who shot his ex-wife Maritza Martin to death in 1993.
BackgroundIn November 1992, Nunez and Martin's daughter had committed suicide; a year later Nunez contacted Telemundo to do an interview about his daughter's death. The interview was to take place at the cemetery where their daughter was buried.
MurderHis ex-wife arrived at the cemetery with reporter Ingrid Cruz and a cameraman who filmed Martin as she walked towards the cemetery. Suddenly, Nunez appeared with a gun and shot Martin twelve times in the head and torso, killing her. He did this because he blamed his ex-wife for their

AftermathIn 2000, Nunez was sentenced to life in prison, though he will be eligible for parole in 2025.
