Fla. Deputy Dragged 300 Feet Through Interchange

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- An exclusive dashcam video obtained by CBS12 from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Wednesday shows a deputy being dragged by a motorcyclist through an Interstate 95 interchange at Gateway Boulevard.

The deputy, dragged about 300 feet, was not seriously injured but appeared a bit shaken up by the March 29 incident, suffering scrapes and damage to his uniform. After returning to his cruiser, the video shows the deputy continuing his pursuit on northbound I-95 until he pulled over north of the Hypoluxo interchange.

Police arrested the motorcyclist at a shopping plaza on Congress Avenue south of Gateway Boulevard in Boynton Beach shortly after the incident.

The deputy who was dragged was using a laser to clock vehicle speeds at I-95 and Woolbright Road at about 1:25 PM March 29, and captured the suspect's white motorcycle travelling 112 MPH. The deputy pulled
