Putin scheduled to meet Japanese prime minister two months AFTER Russia's presidential election - in May 2018

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe planned to meet in May 2018. This was reported to journalists by First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, TASS reports. The meeting will be timed to coincide with the cross-year of Russia and Japan.
However, the election of the Russian president should be held in March, two months before the scheduled meeting. At the same time, Vladimir Putin still claims that he has not yet decided whether he will go to the polls.
