What a shame. That AA driver is a very nice man.
A very very nice man.
A very very nice man!
Yes a very nice man indeed.
This is how it works (short version).
-Vehicle 1 pulls up to the gate
-Loop detector in ground senses vehicle presence
-Toll is paid, gate rises
-Vehicle passes gate and over 2nd loop detector
- When tail end of vehicle 1 clears 2nd loop detector, cycle is complete and gate arm drops
If a second vehicle triggers the first loop detector, that too will lower the gate, as the cycle should be-
-Loop detector 1, payment, loop detector 2, close
If you dont pay, strike the gate arm and More..trigger the second loop, the bollards rise. That is why they did not trigger until the second vehicle was almost past the gate.
There is more to it than that, but thats what happened from a technical point of view. Less..
meh...wasnt a tow truck in the towing sense. was pulling a vehicle to simulate a tailgater and what happens to tailgater when trying to circumvent paying toll
This IS a UK AA tow truck towing a car! I don't think they would risk a tow truck to see what would happen to the car! I think they would have just towed it with an old car if what your saying is correct! But hey... who am I to say? one of us is right!
