Valentino Rossi's reaction to the news the person in the accident was Marco Simoncelli
Part of channel(s): MotoGP Marco Simoncelli killed in Sepang Crash (current event)

He looked clearly upset. At this stage Marco wasn't dead yet.

Close pal Simoncelli, 24, died after an accident at the Malaysian GP on Sunday.

The Italian suffered serious trauma to his head, neck and chest
following an accident on lap two at Sepang — when he lost control of his
Honda and was hit by countryman Valentino and US ace Colin Edwards.
Seven-time world champ Rossi, 32, could not speak about the incident
in the aftermath but last night paid tribute to his compatriot in a
Twitter message.
He wrote: "For me he was like a youngest brother. So strong on track and so sweet in the normal life. I will miss him a lot."
