Genghis Khan emperor of the Mongol Empire, an empire he founded in 1206. Born with the name Temüjin into the Borjigin clan, he united the Central Asian tribes and founded the Mongol Empire (1206–1368), the largest contiguous and second largest overall empire in world history.

Genghis Khan is a legendary and highly regarded figure in Mongolia, where he is seen as the father of the Mongol nation.

On the other hand, he and his successors are responsible for wars of military aggression, conquest, ruthless destruction, and the death of tens of millions of people.
