Reminds me of an old toy G.I. Joe plane I once had.
I'm sorry, but whats so great about this plane?
@specialforcesbandmember Its great for airshows, and uhhh......
Couldn't stick with it, re-upload without the crass soundtrack.
Another useless russian plane.
Both countries make great stuff. American is more advanced because we pump ridiculous amounts of money into it. It's as simple as that.
@notluzn If it was useless they'd call it an F-35
@Stovepipe Funny that that POS was already created and tested by the US. It's weak in every way. You can cover shit in gold but it's still shit.
@EMAG-K what Useless planes are those? funny our plane last almost 50+ years and are still bad ass. Funny that every time we go against any russian POS they get shot the fuck down like cheap red headed hoes. Americans not only have bad ass planes but also bad ass pilots. Better Idea was already tested by the US and it sucked because it's a crap design. The F22 and F35 would make toilet paper out of that Ruski plane.
Such an awesome craft. Shame only 4 were made.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of forward swept wings?
@Jigzy None really. That's why they are not in use. The wings had to be stronger and the benefits did not justify it. They do look cool.
*Mounting the wings further back on the fuselage, allowing for an unobstructed cabin or bomb bay, as the root of the wingbox will be located further aft, and
*Increased maneuverability, due to airflow from wing tip to wing root preventing a stall of the wing tips and ailerons at high angle of attack. Instead, stall will rather occur in the region of the wing root on a forward-swept wing.
*This reversed spanwise airflow should reduce wingtip vortices, generating less drag and allowing More..a smaller wing.
Possible drawbacks of a forward-swept wing include
*When using a conventional metal construction: A reduced divergence speed or, in order to avoid this, an increased wing weight, as wing stiffness needs to be increased.
*A forward-swept wing becomes unstable when the wing root stalls before the tips, causing a pitch-up moment, exacerbating the stall. This effect is more significant with a large forward-sweep. Less..
Cool, thanx for the info mate :)
LL is better than a google search sometimes.
looks like something from thunderbirds!
very nice post Hazel_Nut!
It's nowhere near as pretty as the SU-27 and SU-35. It looks like some 1960s bomber.
Luckily it never made it to production.
I love Russian porn.
First time I've seen one accually flying! Awesome video, thanks for the post!!!!
That looks like the plane from the move " Stealth ".
Pretty airplane, no doubt but it really does look alot more dangerous than it is.
nice but i think the thing is flying backwards
