Remnants of tsunami reach northern Japanese town of Aomori

This may not look like much. But consider: The tsunami raked the northeastern coast of Honshu island, shot through the straits dividing Honshu and Hokkaido islands, rounded a long peninsula and came back down Matsu Bay, and still had enough power left to flood the streets of this city. It's as if a tsunami hit Plymouth in England, rounded Cornwall, and flooded Cardiff.
