Planes full of Jews of Donetsk & Lugansk arriving in Israel

Yesterday, plane full to capacity with hundreds of Jewish refugees of Donetsk and Lugansk arrived in Israel, where they received Israeli citizenship at Ben Gurion airport.

Some planes were supposed to come in the summer, but there were many logistical difficulties for people coming from within the battlezone areas.

Natan Sharansky (the head of the Jewish Agency) met them at the airport. Sharansky (now in his 70s) is himself a native of Donetsk.
