Engagement Ring Tumbles Into Pond During Proposal

<p>Loyal friends of a couple set to make their wedding vows in a Kansas City, Missouri, park had to take on unexpected roles when the groom dropped the wedding ring onto a bridge and saw it roll through a crack into the river below.</p><p>Seth Dixon was planning on proposing to his partner of four years, Ruth Marie Salas, at their favorite spot in Loose Park, Kansas City, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hawkeyetorch/videos/173388963691308; target="_blank">according to an interview</a> they gave to <span class="caps">KMBC</span>. As he got down on one knee and was about to pop the question, he fumbled with the ring and dropped it, sending it on the way to the river bottom.</p><p>According to a post from the photographer there to capture what was supposed to be a beautiful moment, friends turned up at the park and began fishing for the ring. Photos taken by Staci&#8217;s Dabney Photography show the friends diving in the water while the couple watched from the bridge above.</p><p>The ring was reportedly never found, but a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/seth-and-ruths-ring-replacement&quo; target="_blank">GoFundMe page</a> was created to replace it.
