FDA Commissioner Has Meltdown on National TV

Food and Drug Administration Deputy Commissioner Steve Hoyer reached his breaking point and lashed out at journalists during a televised news conference. Faced with relentless criticism by the Tea Party, Ron Paul and Michelle Bachmann, FDA spokespersons have been increasingly on the defensive. With the recent introduction of the Food Safety Modernization Act, the FDA has come under considerable fire by critics of the administration.
