4 Costa Rica: Villagers capture crocodiles at traditional Easter hunt
Easter celebrations in the village of Ortega in the coastal Guanacaste region on Friday saw hunters capture a crocodile using nothing but sticks, a net and their bare hands.
Using the sticks to spook the crocodile, the hunters surrounded the animal and forced it into a net, before dragging it from the water.
Crocodile hunter Carlos Alberto Cascante explained the thrill of the hunt, "It's a passion that gets inside of you, like when you ride a bull, and it’s the adrenaline that gets inside of you. It's also because it's a tradition."
