Arizona Man Accused of Planning Terrorism Targeting Government Buildings by ANDREW BLANKSTEIN

Sorry.... Looked everywhere for a video but could find none. I believe this should be national news every time an extremist is arrested in this country.
TUCSON, Ariz. -

Yesterday, officials arrested a Tucson teen on charges of terrorism.

The FBI and officials with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office arrested 18-year-old Mahin Kahn in Tucson, but he is currently being held at the Fourth Avenue jail.

Earlier tonight, when our sister station, KOLD, called the Khan home a woman picked up and said “No comment.”

But the Tucson teen has a lot of explaining to do behind bars.

Threats of terrorism have been top of mind recently for many, but with the arrest of Mahin Khan, it seems to hit even closer to home

“He's been booked into the Maricopa County Jail on two counts, the first count is conspiracy to commit terrorism, and the second count is terrorism," said Mia Garcia with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

Khan's court records are sealed, so the Arizona Attorney General's Office says more details will emerge after they're opened by a judge later next week.

But the information that has been released about the Tucson teen is very scary.

"Khan allegedly conspired to commit acts of terrorism on government buildings in Maricopa and Pima counties," Garcia said.

In the meantime, investigators are covering all grounds to keep everyone safe from terrorism.

"The Attorney General's office is working very closely with federal authorities to keep Arizonans safe and we are not aware of any threats that Khan made that involve Fourth of July weekend,” says Garcia.

Even though he was arrested just Friday, Mahin Kahn has already made his first appearance in front of a judge.

He's currently being held without bond.
