Snowstorms in Xinjiang force courier to deliver parcels on horseback

Snowstorms have forced a courier to deliver parcels on horseback in Xinjiang, an autonomous region in northwest China.

In the video filmed in Baihaba Village, Xinjiang, a courier is spotted riding on horseback to deliver parcels to villagers’ homes on time.

It is reported that the courier has to ride a 20-kilometre journey without any human contact.

The courier chose to ride horses because the continuous snowfall resulted in icy roads and poor transportation.

The video was filmed on November 19 and provided by local media.
