The United States has once again warned Turkey of punitive measures in case Ankara buys Russian missile defense systems.
White House National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien threatened Ankara with sanctions if it does not cancel the purchase of Russian S-400 systems. O'Brien said the systems have no place in NATO states. The comments came ahead of a visit by Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan to Washington on November 13th to meet with U-S President Donald Trump.
