Germany: Erdogan’s picture burned at Hamburg protest against Afrin offensive

Over 250 protesters gathered in front of the Turkish consulate in Hamburg on Wednesday, to protest against the Turkish-led offensive in the Kurdish enclave of Afrin.

Protesters held signs and banners as they marched to the Turkish consulate, while chanting slogans against the war.

Ali Davi, a protester, said that Erdogan had become like "Mussolini, Franco or Saddam" and went on to warn him that his "end will also be like theirs."

Police were deployed around the consulate with water cannon trucks.

The 'Olive Branch' military operation is underway in the Kurdish enclave of Afrin in northern Syria.
