Pompeo & Mattis "Respect" Senate Votes on Yemen and Khashoggi

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary James Mattis expressed "respect" for Senate votes this week on the passage of two joint resolutions. The first resolution called for the end of U.S. assistance to Saudi-led forces in the war in Yemen; the second condemned the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and stated, “The Senate believes Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is responsible for the murder." Secretary Pompeo said that he would continue to work to explain to the Legislative Branch the Trump administration's policies in the interests of protecting America.
