"Jetman" Reffet soars through the Italian Alps

'Jetman" Vince Reffet flew over the Dolomites in a jet pack featuring carbon-fibre wings on Saturday (June 15).

The 35-year-old French pilot reached speeds of around 400kph during his flight.

The wing-suit system was developed and built by Yves Rossy, a fighter pilot and airline captain from Switzerland, and it comprises a backpack equipped with semi rigid airplane-type carbon fibre wings with a span of about 2.4 metres and onboard reactors.
