A calf born with five legs was spotted in a Chinese villager's house.

In the video, filmed in the city of Xianyang in Shaanxi Province on November 18, a calf had a 60-centimetre-long extra leg growing on its back.

According to a senior livestock engineer from Sanyuan County Animal Disease Prevention and Control Centre, it is a normal gene mutation.

The calf has grown from less than 10 kilograms grams to 100 in half a year.
